The Puffy Coat

puffycoat2

This entry already feels a bit ironic considering that it’s almost 60 degrees outside in January, but at one point it was cold. In fact, I am still cold as I type this, because my veins run perpetually cold with an unidentified icy fluid. While I can never remedy that, one day last year, I did decide that I had enough of being cold on the outside. Continue Reading →

Life Ruiners, Part One of Many

tfios1

Since I’m on my little YA book kick and officially out of luck with the Divergent series until late October, I thought “hey, I can read that other book they’re making into a movie – everybody likes it, it must be really good”. So I shelled out even more money to the Kindle store and bought a copy of “The Fault in our Stars”. Continue Reading →

A literary scholar I am not

hg_new1

A while back, you may have become acquainted with my then-burgeoning infatuation with The Hunger Games, a.k.a. the only time I’ve ever been obsessed with a book. Of course, the throes of obsession can only last for so long, and after a while, I moved on to other things. I didn’t particularly expect it to flare up again, but now that the second movie, Catching Fire, has started creeping its way into promotion mode, it sparked my interest once more (pun only partially deliberate).
